Anthony Lee Biography

Anthony has participated in events such as Melbourne Fashion week; Anthony Lee (born 1972, Australia – Bundjalung Nation. The original custodians of the northern coastal area of New South Wales and south east Queensland) is a multi-disciplinary indigenous  artist currently living in Naarm/Melbourne who uses painting, sculpture, textiles and jewellery as a voice of his cultural background and Indigenous roots.

Constructing narratives as an archive of the recent past and revealing an acute observation of contemporary society as well as larger political themes, Anthony Lee’s art will continue to exemplify the layered and at times contradictory conditions that make us human, they are at once artefact and cultural critique.
